Have a Heart proceeds help provide critical resources for children and their families receiving care at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center (JHCC), Baltimore’s local Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Children like Elle and Emme Thomas, born 25 weeks premature at JHCC in September 2016. Both girls were born with brain bleeds. Elle’s brain bleed healed on its own; however, Emme’s bleed caused hydrocephalus, resulting in several brain surgeries and other serious health issues.
Today, thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Elle is a joyful little girl who loves to walk, talk, dance and climb. Emme, despite having multiple surgeries at an early age and the odds stacked against her, is making amazing progress. She is able to sit unassisted, is determined to walk and loves playing with her twin sister Elle.
